Carvie Gillikin

Chief Revenue Officer


Fun Fact: Carvie rode on the rodeo circuit for 10 years.

Bio: Carvie brings 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry to McVeigh Global Meetings and Events. He began his career as a sales manager in southeastern North Carolina for an oceanfront resort. He then worked for properties such as Sheraton, Westin and W Hotels. In 2005 Carvie left the hotel world to join the event industry. It was during that time that he worked in Washington, DC for an audiovisual and production company where he gained invaluable experience in the industry. In 2007, Carvie joined Fourth Wall Events as the Director of Sales and Marketing and later became a Vice President/ Partner overseeing the company’s sales, marketing and operations.

Currently, Carvie is the Chief Revenue Officer for McVeigh Global Meetings and Events and is responsible for overseeing global sales and marketing efforts. Ultimately, Carvie’s concentrations are on identifying new revenue streams, implementing new strategies to increase gross margin and maximizing sales forecasts for McVeigh Global.

Carvie remains active in the industry with MPI and enjoys speaking on a variety of panels at industry wide conferences.

Steve Casley

Executive Vice President , Business Development: Association

Bio: Steve Casley joins McVeigh Global Meetings and Events with over 30 years of experience in the travel, events and data services industries in both the entrepreneurial and corporate environments leading several companies providing comprehensive contracted events services to associations, universities, trade groups and other customers around the world.

As the Executive Vice President of Business Development for McVeigh, Steve focuses on the creation of long-term value for existing client partnerships and the development of new client relationships where McVeigh can deliver unparalleled innovative solutions that help our client partners achieve and exceed their goals.

Prior to joining McVeigh, Steve was the Chief Executive Officer of WorldTEK Events. In June of 2018, WorldTEK Events and Fourth Wall Events merged and, together, acquired McVeigh Associates to form McVeigh Global Meetings and Events. Prior to WorldTEK Events Steve held numerous executive positions in a wide variety of companies.

Steve holds a B.S. degree in business administration and political science from St. John's University, with corporate sponsored graduate studies through the Harvard Business School. He has served on the Boards of many mid-sized solution services companies. Steve is an avid golfer and passionate hockey fan. He resides in Guilford, CT with his wife Susan and has four children Sean, Scott, Annie and Sydney.

Douglas Hunt

Senior Vice President, Marketing


Fun Fact: Doug enjoys Tough Mudder races with his friends and other outdoors activities such as snowboarding, wakeboarding and he thinks he can surf after only trying it once.

Bio: Doug has over 20 years of experience in sales and marketing. At McVeigh Global Meetings and Events, he is responsible for the marketing initiatives worldwide. His responsibilities also comprise the sourcing of strategic partnerships, the implementation of business development strategies and the management of proposal based solutions for Fortune 1000 clients.

His focus on marketing includes managing supplier relations with PR firms and cutting edge marketing agencies, streamlining SOPs, integrating customized business reports and identifying efficiencies along the way.

Doug has been immersed in the Sales and Marketing arena since 1997. He has vast experience in the pharmaceutical industry as a Sales Executive in the Cardiovascular Division of Novartis Pharmaceuticals. In addition, Doug also has experience in the Technology Industry as a Regional Account Manager for the Fortune 500 Company, Spherion, Inc. He was responsible for acquiring new accounts and implementing Web-based Recruitment Solutions throughout the Northeast.

Prior to launching his career, Doug graduated from King’s College with a Liberal Arts background and a BA in Criminal Justice/Law. In parallel, Doug also accomplished a semester at Regent’s University in London.

Elliott Elsner

Business Development Director


Fun Fact: Elliott won 2nd place in national Dennis the Menace look-a-like contest in 1991.

Bio: Elliott Elsner is a strategic client partner with over 11 years of global experience building diverse, collaborative & successful relationships to elevate brands, drive growth and change hearts & minds. Throughout his career, Elliott has produced high quality global meetings, events & activations for Fortune 500 clients, brands & not-for-profits spanning Beauty/Cosmetics, Fashion, Retail, Financial Services and Media sectors including The Estee Lauder Companies, David Yurman, Time Warner, Wells Fargo & GLAAD, among others. Elliott joined the Fourth Wall Events Team in 2016 and is currently a business development director for McVeigh Global Meetings and Events.

Carmelina Manzella Deignan

Business Development Director


Fun Fact: Carmelina enjoys traveling, meeting new people and experiencing different cultures.

Bio: Carmelina Manzella Deignan joins McVeigh Global Meetings and Events with over 30 years of experience in the MICE industry. She is a Global Event Planner with a flair for special events, incentives, meeting management, conference production, conventions/congresses, destination analysis, budgeting, business development and mentoring staff.

Prior to joining McVeigh, Carmelina was the Director of Marketing Events at the NASDAQ-AMEX Market Group where she developed, structured and managed the Equity Marketing events division of the NASDAQ Stock Market and the American Stock Exchange after the NASD/American Stock Exchange merger.

Currently as an Account Manager for McVeigh, Ms. Manzella is responsible for several Pharmaceutical and non-Pharmaceutical clients.

Carmelina graduated from Pace University with a Bachelor in Business Administration.

Karen Townsend

Business Development Director


Fun Fact: Karen worked in sports talk radio and was a background singer in an R&B band

Bio: Karen Townsend joins McVeigh Global Meetings and Events with over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Karen has spent the most significant portion of her career with Starwood Hotels and Resorts in both on-property and global sales. Having also spent some time in business development for a housing company and with a boutique event management firm, she brings a well-rounded perspective of meetings and events to McVeigh.

In her role as Business Development Director, she manages an existing client base while proactively cultivating new client relationships.

Karen graduated from Mid America Nazarene University with a bachelor of arts degree in Management and Human Relations.
