Bio: Carvie brings 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry to McVeigh Global Meetings and Events. He began his career as a sales manager in southeastern North Carolina for an oceanfront resort. He then worked for properties such as Sheraton, Westin and W Hotels. In 2005 Carvie left the hotel world to join the event industry. It was during that time that he worked in Washington, DC for an audiovisual and production company where he gained invaluable experience in the industry. In 2007, Carvie joined Fourth Wall Events as the Director of Sales and Marketing and later became a Vice President/ Partner overseeing the company’s sales, marketing and operations.

Currently, Carvie is the Chief Revenue Officer for McVeigh Global Meetings and Events and is responsible for overseeing global sales and marketing efforts. Ultimately, Carvie’s concentrations are on identifying new revenue streams, implementing new strategies to increase gross margin and maximizing sales forecasts for McVeigh Global.

Carvie remains active in the industry with MPI and enjoys speaking on a variety of panels at industry wide conferences.

Bio: Michelle has been with McVeigh Associates for over 16 years. As a Senior Vice President in the Meeting Planning Division, Michelle oversees McVeigh’s Account Managers and their respective meeting planning teams. She is also responsible for Directing and Managing New Account Assimilation, Implementation and Management. Her creation and implementation of McVeigh’s standard operating procedures and templates for logistical implementation, strategic account development, adherence to compliance and seamless financial reconciliation process are responsible for superior customer service and McVeigh’s long term success in maintaining our client base.

Prior to joining McVeigh Associates, Ltd., Michelle was the Director of Hotel Sales and Marketing at the Inn at Great Neck Hotel on Long Island after serving as Director of Sales for the Krisam Group in New York, a regional hotel sales office. Michelle began her career in the Hospitality Industry as a Senior Hotel Coordinator at Dun & Bradstreet.

Bio: Janet was a part of the team that formed McVeigh Associates in July of 1990. Janet secured and continues to be the main client contact for Fortune 500 accounts which continue to grow and remain as the Company’s key and flagship accounts.

As one of the Senior Vice Presidents, Janet oversees Account Managers and their respective meeting planning teams who manage complex, international global programs. The client business portfolio includes internal sales and marketing programs, client hosted investigator meetings, and very high- profile incentive and management programs. Her client service/management responsibilities also include delivering requests for proposal and contracting for new clients, business forecasting, site selection, contract negotiations, preparing quarterly reports, analysis of client spend and savings, overseeing governmental regulatory adherence, as well as superior program implementation and financial management. Janet has been integral to the overall marketing and sales processes and the growth of the company.

Prior to joining McVeigh, she was the Executive Assistant to the President and General Manager at Travel Destinations Unlimited of New York.

Bio: Jonathan joins McVeigh with 15 years of event experience. Jonathan started his career at Maritz Travel Company as a Travel Director and has been a freelance event planner and event manager for various clients over the last 10 years. He has experience executing events all over the world and has been a Project Manager for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, China and the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver, Canada. Jonathan’s client relationships have included Verizon, Autodesk, Nike, Genetech, Viacom, Anheuser-Busch, among many others.

Bio: Zuzana is an accomplished project manager with a successful track record leading and executing projects with multi-million-dollar budgets. Her decision-making across simultaneous projects, ability to manage complex workflow on multiple objectives and passion for service focused solutions is what her clients love most.

Prior to joining the McVeigh Global Meetings and Events team, Zuzana spent 5 years working as a project manager for another agency where she handled various types of meetings across the globe. Medical Congresses, Advisory Board Meetings, Speaker Trainings, Product Launches, Incentive Programs, Investigator Meetings and Internal Pharmaceutical meetings are all Zuzana’s forte.

In her current role at McVeigh Global Meetings and Events, Zuzana is responsible for all aspects of the logistical planning including, but not limited to the budget management, overseeing all vendor responsibilities, food and beverage selections, audio visual requirements, décor, on-site management, and final reconciliation. Zuzana is well versed in programs of all sizes and complexity, and prides herself in her working relationships.

Marissa Mays-Verman

Bio: Marissa Mays-Verman comes from over 15 years in Global Meeting/Event Planning and Communications. Prior to starting at Fourth Wall Events (now McVeigh Global Meetings and Events), in April 2017 as the Director of Sourcing and Meeting Planning, Marissa spent 5 years working with Banks Sadler as the Director of the Events Team delivering high quality global meetings. Marissa has worked with Estee Lauder, HBO, all of the Big Five Pharma, the United Nations, IBM and Smith & Nephew amongst many other clients. Marissa is fully compliant with US pharmaceutical code and the Sunshine Act, and is used to working within internal and external SOPs and guidelines. Marissa is a key member of the team in New York and has created processes for all steps of new and future meetings/events and venue sourcing opportunities to ensure that each client receives the best options and value for their proposed event. Finally, Marissa stays in constant communication with the clients to be sure that all needs and expectations are met, so that every single program is flawless.

Bio: Jodi Simmons is the Vice President, Meeting Planning and the Novartis Account Manager for McVeigh Global Meetings and Events. She has spent the last 30 years in the pharmaceutical meetings industry with experience in both domestic and International meetings. At McVeigh, she oversees and manages a team who are responsible for all aspects of the planning, organization and management of US based and International symposia, advisory boards, speaker programs, speaker training programs, internal sales meetings and Investigator Meetings.

Her responsibilities include but are not limited to budget management, negotiation of venue and meeting space, audio visual requirements, room layout design, food and beverage selection, management and supervision of all on-site logistical arrangements. Jodi is also responsible for preparing detailed reconciliation accountings of all programs, oversees the reporting of all expenses in Novartis’ state reporting system, works closely with the Regulated Event Data Management team, Ethics and Compliance and Event Oversight Committee/Governance Board at Novartis to ensure all HCP programs are executed successfully and are in line with all Novartis policies and procedures.

Prior to starting her own company in 2000, Jodi worked in the medical education divisions of FCB and DMB&B for 15 years. Her clients included Pfizer, Pfizer International, Searle, Novartis and Bristol Myers. Jodi has worked extensively throughout Europe, South America and Asia.

Bio: Lori Berardis has over 20 years of experience in the MICE industry and over 15 of those years have been spent here at McVeigh. She is currently responsible for all aspects of venue sourcing for both International and domestic meetings as well as account management processes on behalf of a Fortune 500 client account. Prior to her time at McVeigh, Lori was a program manager for the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City where she developed Continuing Medical Education meetings for various medical professionals.

Currently, as a Client Services Manager for McVeigh, Lori prides herself in providing superior customer service throughout the sourcing, planning, on-site reconciliation and reconciliation process.

Lori graduated from Hofstra University with a degree in Psychology.

Bio: Meredith Garcy joins McVeigh Global Meetings and Events with over 15 years of experience in the MICE industry. Ms. Garcy has managed the complete operations of complex meeting types from idea creation through final reconciliation. She is responsible for all aspects of logistics including site inspection, budgeting, vendor selection, event registration, staffing and post-event reporting. She has worked on various meeting types across the globe, such as Advisory Boards, Speaker Trainings, Internal Meetings, Symposiums and Investigator Meetings.

Prior to joining McVeigh, Meredith was an Event Marketing and Operations Specialist at Madison Square Garden where she executed Sponsorship agreements. With this role, Meredith facilitated pre/in/post game National Anthem, Color Guard and Halftime entertainment performances as well as on court contests and special ceremonies.

Meredith graduated with a BS, Sports and Recreation Management from the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management at Temple University.

Bio: Jennifer joined McVeigh Associates as an Administrative Assistant in September of 2012 and has since then been promoted five times, now holding the position of Senior Project Manager at McVeigh Global Meetings and Events. In this role, she is responsible for all of the various aspects in the logistical planning process including third party vendor management, menu selections, on-site management, budget management and final reconciliation among others.

Prior to joining McVeigh, Jennifer earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising, Marketing and Communications at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, NY while maintaining a part time job in retail and sales.

Jennifer has coordinated various programs of different sizes and duration such as Advisory Boards, Speaker Trainings, Sales Meetings, Congress-related Meetings, MOC Meetings, Satellite Broadcasts and Series Meetings.

Bio: Allison joins McVeigh Global Meetings and Events with over 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Beginning her career in hotels, she now has comprehensive knowledge and experience in managing meetings from all perspectives.

Currently as a Project Manager for McVeigh, Allison coordinates all aspects of a successful meeting! With creativity, positive energy and attention to detail she delivers hands on coordination of meeting planning services. She is responsible for organizing logistics needs, such as transportation, accommodations and off-site events. Allison works closely with vendors, hotel staff and other key industry companies to provide customer service that builds long-lasting client relationships!

Allison holds a Bachelor’s Degree for Hotel Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Travel and Tourism from Johnson & Wales University. She is currently working toward becoming a Certified Meeting Planner.

She is responsible for all aspects of logistics including daily interaction with hotels to finalize room sets and food and beverage orders. Currently as a Project Manager for McVeigh, Christy can multitask handling numerous projects at once, but also providing the same level of detail oriented attention to each.

Bio: Jasmine Cintorino joins McVeigh Global Meetings and Events with over 3 years of event planning and 18 years in the hospitality industry. I have planned events from dental/medical National Sales Meetings up to 2500 people, Incentive programs and currently Pharma meetings. I have experience in sourcing, budget creation as well as all aspects of logistics including registration, transportation, food and beverage, housing, VIP needs, room sets, worked with creative/marketing teams, tradeshows and onsite management and support.

Prior to joining McVeigh, I was Assistant General Manager for Marriott Courtyard; 145 key hotel and was part of the opening team. In this role I assisted in pre-opening, HR, supported the General Manager with operations and sales processes and procedures in all departments and ensured guess satisfaction.

Currently as a Project Manager for McVeigh, I manage high-level programs for an established Fortune 500 client and is responsible for providing superior customer service throughout the planning process.

Bio: Lisa brings over 20 years of domestic and international experience to McVeigh Global in meeting planning and special events management. She plans and executes meetings with seasoned expertise, efficiency, and focused creativity. From multi-day meetings to promotional events and corporate meetings, Lisa guides her clients step by step through the planning process. She consistently applies high-level organizational skills and time management to each project, devising creative solutions that work within a budget and outlined timeline. Lisa has managed hundreds of meetings and events that include advisory boards, speaker and sales trainings, national sales meetings, product launches, investigator meetings, dinner meetings, symposia, retreats, executive leadership, awards gala, customer meetings, themed events and team buildings.

As Senior Project Manager for McVeigh, Ms. Spillane is responsible for the planning and execution of various meeting with a niche specialty in large National Sales Meetings and Customer facing programs. She ensures client business objectives and goals are met while providing exceptional customer service and creative ideas to all of her projects. While at McVeigh, her expertise includes working with Fortune 500 clients in both the pharmaceutical and insurance arenas.

Ms. Spillane’s prior responsibilities have included operations of a government healthcare contract including budget planning, development, monitoring and reporting as well as managing contract documents.

While managing this contract, Michele worked to improve the timeliness, effectiveness, efficiency and management control of contract activities through use of detailed planning meetings, updates and discussions, and review of internal resources.

Prior to joining McVeigh, Melissa was a Director of Catering for Hyatt and Marriott where she oversaw the operations of the catering business and meeting the expectations of clients. She provided on-site direction of meeting and catering logistics to managers, departments and team members responsible for event execution.

Bio: Stephanie joined McVeigh Associates as a Project Manager in January 2004. In her current role at McVeigh Global Meetings and Events, she is responsible for the overseeing the data management and reporting for all Promotional and Non-Promotional events.

Stephanie has worked in the meeting and events industry for over 15 years. Prior to joining McVeigh, she has spent more than half of her professional career as a meeting and events producer, where she has previously managed audio visual and presentations for sales meetings for major technology corporations including Canon USA, Olympus, Symbol Technologies, as well as major pharmaceutical corporations including Schering Plough.

Bio: Teresa Skaliotis joins McVeigh Global Meetings and Events with over six years of experience in the MICE industry. In her role, Teresa is currently responsible for website development, meeting app development, print and production, as well as oversight of registration and attendee management for the various programs facilitated through McVeigh. Teresa utilizes opportunities for continuing education to stay on top of cutting-edge industry technology to enhance the client’s experience and end user perception.

As a Senior Project Associate for McVeigh, Teresa has worked on numerous programs both domestic and international. In her role, Teresa has successfully executed programs for Fortune 500 companies ensuring that both the client and attendee are well informed prior to the event, as well as when traveling.

Teresa stays passionate when executing each event to deliver exceptional customer service; ensuring every component is a success from beginning to end. For each experience, Teresa shares information with her colleagues to provide best practices and/or noting improvements that could be applicable companywide.

Bio: Kim Clendenning joined the McVeigh team in July of 2017, after graduating college with a B.A in Communication and a focus in Public Relations. She is an innovative thinker who constructs, values and encourages ideas that stretch beyond boundaries, and go beyond her role. At McVeigh, she is responsible for preparing request for proposals and spearheading the sourcing process, while communicating internally and externally with clients during initial research of hotel property and destinations. Additionally, negotiating and executing hotel contracts to maximize savings, and minimize liabilities on behalf of her clients, is something she takes great pride in.

During her time at the University at Buffalo, she organized and planned events with UNYTS (Upstate New York Transplant Services) to educate her peers on the importance of donating blood and being an organ donor. She is extremely passionate about helping others and finding solutions to problems.

She has been the lead on various meetings , corporate and incentive group travel across the globe, including areas in Asia and Africa. Olga also supports our meeting planning department with arrival/departure manifests, cost savings reports as well as state and data reporting for major pharmaceutical companies.

Prior to joining McVeigh, Olga was a travel consultant for a large retail agency where she handled large corporate accounts in publishing , fashion and technology, as well as group and charter travel for a major tour operator.
