McVeigh Global Meetings and Events, the leading meeting and event management company, is pleased to announce the promotion of Ross Starr, MS, CEM, former Business Development Director, to Director of Sales. In his new role, Starr will create and execute strategies and processes to support the business development team and expand MGME’s global footprint.

“As we finally emerge from the pandemic, bandwidth is at a premium. As such, it is imperative our growth is strategic in nature to support our partnerships,” said Carvie Gillikin, President and CCO. “Ross embodies the partnership business model and will help focus the business development team’s search for client partners.”

In his role as BDD, Starr quickly became an integral part of the team providing strong leadership in various circumstances. He holds an M.S. in International Marketing Management from Boston University, a BSBA from the University of Richmond and brings over 15 years of experience driving growth and cultivating partnerships in meetings and events. Ross believes in fostering a collaborative culture between marketing, sales and customer success. He is passionate about delivering personalized and bespoke client experiences.
