Virtual New Hire Sales Training and Product Launch

CHALLENGE

A leading Global Pharmaceutical client needed quick support for a New Hire Training and Launch Program focused on their Prostate Cancer therapeutics. Over an 11-week period during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, 120 Sales staff members from across the United States required training on the new products.

SOLUTION

In 15 days from signing the Statement of Work, MGME designed and developed a customized, 3D virtual environment with creative theming and activities to maximize engagement and learning.  Tasked with event design, virtual production, attendee logistics, and all engagement aspects for four waves of attendeesour team successfully created a Virtual Training Center featuring a general session theater, 15 breakout rooms, and a wellness amphitheater. Other standout elements included networking lounges, a game room, and a virtual bistro with connection to Door Dash and Grubhub for attendees to order food directly to their door.

Creative & Content Design

The 3D virtual experience displayed a pre-event landing page with a countdown clock and custom messaging, custom user profiles, 1:1 text chat for networking, and an integrated weekly agenda. For security and user support, the platform featured secure log-in, online, real-time tech support, and pop-up notifications to help guide attendees in the new virtual landscape.

Our virtual team designed the General Session broadcast in Vimeo Enterprise and streamed it live inside the 3D environment. The walk-in experience featured a carefully curated playlist of music, an animated countdown clock, and a looping video with individual sales representatives’ slides. Upon launch of the General Session, an animation of the event theme played on screen and transitioned to an opening video. The session presenter(s) then appeared on screen in a variety of formats with single presenters, panel discussions, and slide presentations.

Attendee Engagement

The Vice President of Sales at our client company wanted a way to honor the sales representative. MGME created a version of virtual bingo using the headshots of the sales representatives on the card. A slot machine style animation would land on a sales representative’s face, name, and bingo letter for the host to call during the drawing. The winner called “bingo” once they spelled out “Go Beyond” (the event theme) on their bingo card.

Attendees were also invited to a virtual Fireside Chat with the CEO. MGME mailed event boxes to the attendees with instructions not to open until the day of the event. The “Campfire Cozy” themed event boxes included a s’mores kit, Ghirardelli hot chocolate, a branded ceramic mug, branded fuzzy socks, a branded fleece blanket, a notepad and pen, and a Rubik’s cube.

Project Management, Logistics & Tech Support

MGME managed registration, speaker rehearsals, run-of-show, and production for all sessions. Our engagement team managed the event boxes from item selection to fulfillment and organized the virtual teambuilding scavenger hunts. MGME performed daily platform checks and managed the help desk which included text chat from the platform, email and a dedicated 1-800 phone line.
