Virtual Product Launch for COVID-19 Therapeutic

CHALLENGE

Our client needed to quickly launch their latest product, a therapeutic for COVID-19, and train 239 sales professionals.  Considered the most important product launch they would ever do, the client required a virtual platform solution with live broadcast capabilities in order to educate, engage, and inspire their sales team in the most effective way possible.

SOLUTION

In 6 weeks, MGME developed a five-day training program—engaging attendees across multiple general sessions, experiential activations, sales workshops, and teambuilding activities. MGME designed a fully branded virtual environment and coordinated all production and logistic aspects necessary for a Virtual Product Launch to a national audience.

Theme Development & Branding

The MGME team developed the storyline and script for the entire virtual experience. The program opened with a 4-minute video, weaving corporate announcements with emotional footage capturing the gravity of the moment, to inspire and motivate the sales team. To drive the event theme and increase attendee engagement, MGME wove creative storytelling activations with improv facilitators, a graphic recording artist, a campfire Q&A, and a “Name That Tune” Gameshow into the experience. Breaks and downtime were supported by curated playlists and wellness videos.

MGME designed and developed a custom, 3D virtual platform. The fully branded environment, consistent with set backdrops for speakers, created a completely immersive experience. MGME designed all supporting materials including a themed PowerPoint template for speakers, an attendee engagement notecard, and a custom gift card included in the attendee event boxes. To create consistency and cut production time and costs, the MGME design team developed brand guidelines the client can utilize for future training programs.

Project Management

Our team managed the overall project timeline, vendor coordination, virtual platform registration, and event budget. MGME managed the numerous suppliers, ensuring the timely delivery of information and support materials needed to enhance the online experience.

Production Management

MGME managed the full technical production of the event. This included video development, scripting for sessions, speaker coaching, creation of pre-recorded content, and the run-of-show. In preparation for the event, MGME coordinated rehearsals for the entire executive leadership team and session hosts. We scripted, directed, and edited interviews with the Head of R&D, sales representatives, and leadership for pre-recorded session content.

Our team managed all aspects of the live production including presentations, live switching, broadcast services, and audio-visual support. MGME assigned the client a graphics operator and content manager for extra support. To remediate any real-time technical issues, MGME provided a support team for any speaker problems and a helpdesk for attendees with virtual platform questions.

Post-Event Services

Post-event survey management and final event actuals were handled by MGME’s analytics and reporting team. Full virtual platform reports, including click-by-click reporting, overall participation score, and attendee watch times, were sent daily. The client was provided with a media library and recordings of all sessions as well. MGME’s creative direction made a very important program unbelievably impactful.

Result

MGME understood the client’s challenges and goals and quickly produced not only a product launch, but an immersive journey to engage, motivate and train their sales team. Our client was speechless upon seeing the final product.

Completely satisfied with the product launch, the client asked us to create a virtual training center for employees to utilize during the pandemic. Hiring a photographer, the MGME team captured 200 photos of each space at the client’s physical training center, which had never been used due to the pandemic. The photos were stitched together to build a 3D virtual environment. Following the event, the virtual training center is now open to the entire company for all future employee training events.
